Say Nada at Wagon & Horses Courtyard

Say Nada's back October 14th with its usual blend of reggae, hip hop and forward thinking bass. Headlining we have Pasteman (Sounds of Sumo, Lnuk, Shifting Peaks) along with Say Nada's resident Descry.

Pasteman is a DJ/Producer who has a unique sound that has attracted alot of attention, even earning him a nice reveiw in this months DJ Magazine. He has
got forthcoming releases on Sounds of Sumo, Shifting Peaks and LNUK, including a solo EP, an EP with production partner MAK and various other joint and solo releases as well as support from Rinse FM so expect him to be popping up all over the place in the coming weeks and months.

Descry has been Say Nada's resident host since day one and also hosts regularly for Keep it Steel and Pasteman himself, not to mention often hosting shows on Nottingham based Rogue FM and of course his and Pasteman's Rood FM show.

Also playing on the night we have Spare (Well Rounded Indiv, Reprogression) and Shakes (Rogue FM, Keep it Steel) back to back with Skyhook.

Along with all these we have your favorite Say Nada resident DJ's, Ramo, Emlo and Sythe.

All of this held in the fantastic Wagon & Horses Courtyard, with canopy and heaters so you don't have to leave the dance to smoke.

Entrance begins at 9pm and starts at £3/£4 after 11 so get down early to avoid disappointment.

SN07: Pasteman & Descry

The SN mix series continues this month with SN07, from none other than PASTEMAN & DESCRY!

Pasteman is one of those producers that you would expect to literally have square eyes from staring at a computer all day due to the sheer amount of bangers this guy comes out with.
Musically Pasteman works with dance-floor friendly rhythms focussing on the low end of the frequency domain and incorporating elements of house, garage, funky and dubstep.
Pasteman has forthcoming releases on Sounds of Sumo, Shifting Peaks and LNUK, including a solo EP, an EP with production partner MAK and various other joint and solo releases as well as support from Rinse FM so expect him to be popping up all over the place in the coming weeks and months.

The weekly Rood FM show with Descry is a good place to find out exactly what these two are about with a healthy mix of tunes and banter every Thursday from 10pm to 12am

Descry has been Say Nada's resident host since day one and also hosts regularly for Keep it Steel and Pasteman himself, not to mention often hosting shows on Nottingham based Rogue FM and of course his and Pasteman's  show on Rood FM.

Be sure to check him out at the next Say Nada on Friday 14th October at the Wagon & Horses courtyard.

Atg: Sound Installation One

Sound Installation One
Created for an exhibition at Birmingham City University showing students work, Sound Installation One is what it says it is. The work concerns the transformation of traffic recordings, which was used as the basis of the piece and presented in a darkened space to enhance the auditory qualities of the work. The 'booth' itself was only on display for five days, below are photographs documenting the 'booth'.
